The placement on IR is retroactive to Oct. 8, with Philadelphia calling up Oliver Bonk in the process.

The Philadelphia Flyers have placed forward Travis Konecny on injured reserve due to an undisclosed lower-body injury. The roster move is retroactive to October 8, when Konecny last played during a 2-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators. Due to NHL injured reserve rules requiring a minimum seven-day absence, Konecny will miss at least three games and is not eligible to return until October 17 against Ottawa.
In a corresponding transaction, the Flyers recalled 21-year-old defenseman Oliver Bonk from their AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Konecny currently leads the winless Flyers with three assists through five games this season. Bonk, entering his second professional season, previously recorded two points in two AHL appearances this year after making his NHL debut late last season.
