The Vegas Golden Knights have recalled defenseman Ville Heinola ahead of an upcoming two-game Central Division road trip. In a corresponding transaction, Vegas placed forward Victor Olofsson on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury that leaves him week-to-week.
Heinola will occupy Vegas' extra roster spot as he seeks his franchise debut after spending seven seasons with the Winnipeg Jets organization. The former 2019 first-round pick has recorded 12 points across 58 career NHL games, along with 21 points in 44 AHL games last season.
