New York dodged a major bullet after a dangerous head hit sidelined their leading scorer. The captain returns to anchor the lineup for a critical Eastern Conference clash.

New York Islanders captain Bo Horvat was cleared to play against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night after avoiding serious injury from an illegal head check. Horvat was knocked out of Thursday's 4-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks following a dangerous third-period collision.
Blackhawks forward Frank Nazar received a two-game suspension and a $68,041 fine from the NHL Department of Player Safety for the hit. Despite leaving Thursday's game for evaluation, Horvat avoided lingering issues and retained his spot on the Islanders' top line alongside Emil Heineman and Kyle Palmieri.
