San Jose Sharks forward Macklin Celebrini achieved historic NHL milestones on Tuesday night by scoring an overtime game-winning power-play goal against the Montreal Canadiens. Celebrini's goal propelled the Sharks to a 4-3 overtime victory at the Bell Centre, continuing his remarkably productive career start against the Canadian franchise.
According to Sportsnet, Celebrini became only the second player in NHL history to record at least 11 points in his first five career games against Montreal, joining Hall of Famer Frank Nighbor from 1918-1919. Additionally, Celebrini became the third player in league history to score four career regular-season overtime goals before turning 21 years old, joining Sean Monahan and Ilya Kovalchuk.
