The St. Louis Blues return to Enterprise Center on Thursday night for their home opener against the San Jose Sharks following a season-opening three-game road trip. St. Louis enters the contest looking to rebound from a 4-2 defeat against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday. Head coach Jim Montgomery confirmed Justin Barron will replace Theo Lindstein on defense, marking Barron's first appearance of the season as the team seeks its second win.
San Jose captain Macklin Celebrini is listed as day-to-day after being scratched Monday, leaving his availability uncertain. Meanwhile, new Blues acquisitions Connor McMichael and Mason McTavish are set for their home debuts after combining for three of the team's seven goals across the opening three games.
