Lightning at Rangers Preview: Here. We. Go.

The Tampa Bay Lightning travel to Madison Square Garden to face the New York Rangers in their season opener. Both franchises continue to rely heavily on star goaltenders Andrei Vasilevskiy and Igor Shesterkin to guide their postseason ambitions. Raw Charge previews the matchup, noting that both clubs aim to bounce back and assert dominance in their respective divisions.

Tampa Bay addressed roster departures by signing John Carlson and Ilya Mikheyev, alongside acquiring backup goaltender Dennis Hildeby via trade. Writer Justin G points out that limited preseason playing time together could cause timing issues early on for the Lightning, who seek to avoid falling behind in a competitive Atlantic Division.
