Canucks: Intriguing winger Adam Novotny headed to OHL

The Vancouver Canucks have returned 18-year-old winger Adam Novotny to the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League. The transaction was part of a larger roster reduction announced by general manager Ryan Johnson, which cut Vancouver's pre-season roster by 15 players.

Novotny impressed during development camp and pre-season action, earning praise from head coach Manny Malhotra. Although an eligibility loophole technically permitted him to play for AHL Abbotsford, the organization opted for another junior season following his 65-point campaign with Peterborough last year.
