Alex Ovechkin scores free 9:30 Club tickets for life after reaching 930 career goals

Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin received free tickets for life to Washington, D.C.'s iconic 9:30 Club after scoring his 930th career NHL goal. Venue owner Seth Hurwitz and his son Sam presented Ovechkin with a commemorative golden ticket following his milestone achievement against the Seattle Kraken. Ovechkin scored the historic goal against Kraken goaltender Joey Daccord in a 5-3 loss at Capital One Arena.

The gift makes Ovechkin the inaugural member of the venue's "930 Club" honors program. Capitals owner Ted Leonsis and his wife Lynn attended the presentation, where Hurwitz thanked Ovechkin for his career-long dedication to the city. While the lifetime pass offers access to all future shows, Ovechkin previously indicated plans to return to Russia after his final NHL season concludes.
