Pierre-Luc Dubois will not travel and will miss Tuesday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes due to illness, the Washington Capitals announced. Defenseman Matt Roy is also ruled out for the trip as he remains day-to-day with a lower-body injury, although he took the ice for individual skills work in a non-contact jersey on Monday.

To manage blue-line injuries, Washington recalled veteran defenseman Justin Holl from the AHL's Hershey Bears, placing Roy on injured reserve and Rasmus Sandin on LTIR to clear roster space.
