England head coach Steve Borthwick has warned players that time is running out to push for selection ahead of the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia. Borthwick stated that he already knows the vast majority of the squad he plans to select for the tournament.
England face 12 Test matches before the tournament begins, starting with an upcoming fixture against Australia. Although a training squad will be named ahead of three World Cup warm-up games, Borthwick indicated the timeframe for fringe players to make their case is rapidly closing.
