Scrum-half Alex Mitchell suffered a hamstring injury just 20 minutes into Northampton Saints' 28-14 victory over Gloucester. Mitchell tripped over Gloucester wing Will Joseph and promptly signalled to the bench that he was unable to continue.
The setback adds to England's growing injury concerns ahead of their upcoming clash with Australia. England are already monitoring fitness issues within the squad, with Fin Smith and Archie McParland both nursing calf injuries.
