Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels said of the chaotic final seconds that prevented his team from attempting a game-winning field goal, "ultimately, it's on me."

The Washington Commanders ended in a 27-27 tie against the New York Giants after a late clock management error prevented a game-winning field goal attempt in overtime. Quarterback Jayden Daniels was tackled with eight seconds remaining, and with no timeouts left, Washington failed to spike the ball to allow kicker Drew Stevens an attempt at a 42-yard field goal.
Daniels accepted responsibility for the miscue, while head coach Dan Quinn stated he should not have called another play to gain yardage. The result moved Washington to a 1-3-1 record after blowing a 14-point fourth-quarter lead.
