Cagliari director Pietro Accardi has warned interested clubs, including Inter and Juventus, that 20-year-old Italy international Alessandro Romano will not be sold during the January transfer window. Romano recently earned his senior international debut for Italy against Belgium following an impressive start to the Serie A campaign with the Rossoblu.
Romano joined Cagliari from Roma over the summer on an initial loan deal featuring an obligation to buy. Despite rising transfer interest from top clubs, Accardi emphasized that Cagliari considers the midfielder a prized asset and has no intention of letting him depart mid-season.
