Udinese reflecting on Runjaic future after 3-0 Lecce defeat

Udinese are reportedly evaluating the future of head coach Kosta Runjaic following a 3-0 home defeat against Lecce on Sunday. Goals from Kiolona Gaspar, Konan N'Dri, and Jamil Siebert sealed the victory for Lecce at the Stadio Friuli. The result marks Udinese's fifth consecutive Serie A defeat, leaving the club with just four points after seven matches of the 2026-27 season.

According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, the club is holding discussions regarding Runjaic's role, though no immediate rash decisions are anticipated. Runjaic has been in charge since the 2024-25 season, having previously achieved 12th and 10th-place league finishes. Italian outlet TMW reports that Thiago Motta and Paolo Zanetti are under consideration as potential replacement candidates should Runjaic be dismissed.
