DP World Tour CEO Guy Kinnings has outlined his circuit's much tougher policy in relation to LIV golfers from the start of next season

The DP World Tour will prevent any golfer participating in the new version of LIV Golf from obtaining membership on the European circuit starting in 2027. Tour CEO Guy Kinnings stated that players must make a definitive choice between the tours to protect existing regulations. The policy directly affects Ryder Cup eligibility, as competitors must hold DP World Tour membership to represent Team Europe.
Roughly 15 players with dual status face the decision, including Tyrrell Hatton, Victor Perez, and Tom McKibbin. Jon Rahm has reportedly ruled himself out of the upcoming LIV setup, positioning him for a full-time European return. Meanwhile, players without status would need to commit fully to the DP World Tour to earn entry opportunities.
