Real Madrid were in control against Sevilla at half-time at the Santiago Bernabéu thanks to goals from Arda Guler and Kylian Mbappe

Arda Guler avoided a red card before scoring the opening goal in Real Madrid's 2-0 first-half lead over Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabeu. Guler struck an elbow at Peque Fernandez during a tussle, but referee Mateo Busquets Ferrer and VAR took no disciplinary action against him. Minutes later, Guler swept home a pass from Yan Diomande to break the deadlock on the half-hour mark.
Kylian Mbappe doubled the advantage for Jose Mourinho's side seven minutes later after combining with Diomande and Jude Bellingham. The French forward rounded goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos to finish into an empty net, bringing his tally to five goal involvements in five La Liga appearances against Sevilla.
