England head coach Sarina Wiegman has changed women's football in the country, so what does she face after signing a contract extension?

England Women head coach Sarina Wiegman has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep her in charge through the end of the 2029 European Championship. The 56-year-old Dutch manager's previous deal was scheduled to expire after the upcoming Women's World Cup, but the new agreement ensures her continuity across major international tournaments.
The contract extension covers the Women's World Cup in Brazil, the 2027 Nations League campaign that serves as a qualification pathway for the 2028 Olympic Games, and Euro 2029. Wiegman, who initially took charge in September 2021, stated that she cannot think of a better job in football as she commits to leading the national side.
