Avalanche make roster moves as Opening Night lineup begins to take shape

The Colorado Avalanche announced several roster moves on Wednesday to trim their training camp roster from 44 to 39 players. The cuts include placing defensemen Domenick Fensore and Christian Wolanin on waivers, while three forwards were reassigned to the Colorado Eagles of the AHL as the team prepares its Opening Night lineup.

Forwards Cooper Gay, Maros Jedlicka, and Nikita Prishchepov were sent to the Eagles' training camp. In addition, the Avalanche reassigned prospect Beckett Hamilton to the Red Deer Rebels of the WHL as head coach Jared Bednar continues shaping the regular-season squad.
