I worked under two Rangers greats and now I’ll use the same standards to shape Scotland’s future

Rhys McCabe has been appointed as a youth coach for Scotland, tasked with overseeing the Under-16 squad and developing young talent. The 34-year-old former Airdrie player-manager joins existing Scottish FA coaches James Grady and Stephen Clarke in guiding the national youth setup.

McCabe came through the youth ranks at Rangers, where he played under managers Walter Smith and Ally McCoist before transferring to Sheffield Wednesday. He stated that he intends to use the standards and principles learned from his time at Ibrox to support and develop Scotland's upcoming players.
