Sluggish starts put these coaches in danger of becoming the first to lose their job
CBS Sports writers convened for a roundtable to predict which NFL head coach is most likely to be fired first during the 2026 season. Tyler Sullivan and Zach Pereles projected Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles to be dismissed first following an 0-3 start and an injury to quarterback Baker Mayfield. Bryan DeArdo and Shanna McCarriston selected Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh amid their 0-3 record and offensive struggles, while Carter Bahns suggested Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur could face an in-season firing.
