Suns head coach Jordan Ott will give Oso Ighodaro the opportunity to impress in the preseason, despite Khaman Maluach gaining the inside track to start.

Phoenix Suns head coach Jordan Ott indicated that Oso Ighodaro will have opportunities to impress during preseason games, as the coaching staff tests different lineup rotations before deciding on a starting center. While sophomore Khaman Maluach received significant attention at media day, Ott declined to name an opening-night starter at the five spot.
Writer Luke Duffy argues that Ighodaro is currently the more complete option and deserves the starting nod over the raw Maluach. Duffy highlights that ongoing injuries to Mark Williams increase Ighodaro's value to the Suns' frontcourt rotation.
