Major Liverpool transfer to Chelsea ‘happening’ after claim emerges

Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown has claimed that Chelsea are interested in Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister. Brown suggested that a permanent transfer could occur as Chelsea seek a midfield replacement following Enzo Fernandez's summer departure to Manchester City.

Mac Allister, who joined Liverpool in 2023, remains under contract at Anfield until 2028. Recent reports indicate that while the Argentina international is currently happy, potential contract extension talks with Liverpool will depend on his performances under manager Andoni Iraola.
