The Los Angeles Chargers will be missing several key starters for their Week 5 matchup against the Denver Broncos. Safety Derwin James will sit out his second consecutive game, while wide receiver Quentin Johnston and right tackle Joe Alt have also been ruled out. Tony Jefferson is expected to start in place of James, and rookie Travis Burke is set to make his first NFL start for Alt.
Additional ruled-out players include Brenen Thompson, Kayode Awosika, Donte Jackson, and Trevor Penning. Meanwhile, the Chargers listed Ladd McConkey, Charlie Kolar, Scott Matlock, Branson Taylor, and Rodney Shelley as questionable, with Taylor's status being crucial to preventing the team from starting four rookies along the offensive line.
