The New Orleans Pelicans have waived guard Kobe Bufkin and forward Jalon Moore to reach the regular season roster limit. Bufkin, a former first-round pick who appeared in 43 NBA games across three seasons, had joined the Pelicans on a training camp deal in July. Moore was attending camp on an Exhibit 10 contract following an appearance in three Summer League games.
Following the roster moves, New Orleans holds 14 players on fully guaranteed deals, alongside Trendon Watford on a partially guaranteed contract, with all three two-way spots occupied. Moore is viewed as a strong candidate to join the Pelicans' G League affiliate, the Laketown Squadron, while Bufkin's contract terms suggest he will likely not report to the affiliate.
