Southampton fans will be dismayed to hear that Daniel Peretz's participation in the upcoming South Coast derby is in doubt after he dropped out of the Israel squad with a groin injury.

Southampton goalkeeper Daniel Peretz has withdrawn from the Israel national squad after suffering a groin injury, putting his availability for the upcoming South Coast derby in doubt. Peretz has returned to Staplewood for assessment and treatment, with reports describing the withdrawal as a precautionary measure following a slight muscle strain rather than a tear.
Israeli media outlet Sport5 reports that Peretz could be sidelined for 10 days ahead of Southampton's match against Portsmouth on October 11. If Peretz is ruled out, Southampton will have to choose between backup options George Long, Jamie Jones, and Aaron Ramsdale to start in goal.
