The Green Bay Packers have suffered yet another massive injury blow, and they're only three games into their 2026-27 season.
Green Bay Packers slot wide receiver Jayden Reed will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a neck injury that requires surgery. Head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed Reed faces a significant absence, though the injury is not expected to end his career. The loss comes shortly after Reed signed a three-year, $50.25 million contract extension in April, compounding a difficult 1-2 start to the season for Green Bay.
Andrew Kulha highlights several internal options to replace Reed's production from the slot. Kulha suggests shifting primary deep threats Christian Watson and Matthew Golden into the slot, while also pointing to return specialist Skyy Moore and undrafted rookie J. Michael Sturdivant as candidates for increased playing time.
