The Carolina Hurricanes have placed forward Seth Jarvis on the injured non-roster list ahead of their season opener against the Florida Panthers. Jarvis continues his rehabilitation after undergoing shoulder surgery in June, which originally came with an expected recovery timeline of four to six months.
Despite the designation, reports indicate Jarvis took the ice during training camp and believes he could return ahead of schedule. Alongside the Jarvis transaction, Carolina assigned forwards Bradly Nadeau and Felix Unger Sorum to the Chicago Wolves and placed Juuso Valimaki on waivers for reassignment.
