Barron, Poirier Claimed, Holtz, Heinola, Jokiharju Among 70+ Players Placed on Waivers – 09/27/2026

As NHL training camps continue ahead of the regular season, teams made widespread roster cuts on September 27. The New Jersey Devils claimed goaltender Remi Poirier off waivers from the Dallas Stars, while the St. Louis Blues claimed defenseman Justin Barron from the Nashville Predators. All other players placed on waivers the prior day cleared.

Additionally, more than 70 players were placed on waivers across the league. Notable names submitted to waivers include forward Alexander Holtz and defenseman Ville Heinola of the Vegas Golden Knights, Boston Bruins defenseman Henri Jokiharju, and Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Juuso Valimaki.
