Gameday notes before the Senators home opener: Ullmark ready, Eklund moving on up

Goaltender Linus Ullmark is set to start for the Ottawa Senators in their home opener against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday. Ullmark is ready after injury concerns on Monday, holding a 2–0 record with a .949 save percentage this season. Meanwhile, forward William Eklund has been promoted by head coach Travis Green to the top line alongside Tim Stützle and Drake Batherson.

Defenseman Jake Sanderson remains sidelined and has not practiced since sustaining an injury against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
