With the season just beginning to unfold and the Ottawa Senators suffering from a lengthy list of injuries, head coach Travis Green has had to make quite a few

Ottawa Senators head coach Travis Green introduced new line combinations during a 2-1 shootout win over the New York Islanders, which saw the newly assembled fourth line make an immediate impact. With William Eklund sidelined for 10 to 12 weeks after ankle surgery, Green shifted Ridly Greig to center between wingers Warren Foegele and Fabian Zetterlund.
The fourth line posted a 58.82% expected goals percentage over the first two periods, highlighted by Foegele setting up Greig for his first goal of the season against Islanders goaltender Semyon Varlamov. Meanwhile, Stephen Halliday was promoted to the top line alongside Tim Stutzle and Drake Batherson.
