The time has come for the Ottawa Senators to give Jonas Johansson a look at the NHL level, amid the struggles of Samuel Ersson.

SenShot's Nestor Quixtan argues that the Ottawa Senators should call up Jonas Johansson to replace Samuel Ersson as backup goaltender. The debate follows a 7-2 defeat against the St. Louis Blues, where Ersson allowed seven goals on 26 shots, extending his season statistics to a 5.29 goals-against average and an .829 save percentage across three games.
Quixtan notes that recalling Johansson from the AHL affiliate in Belleville is straightforward, but placing Ersson on waivers risks exposing goaltending depth. Although starting goaltender Linus Ullmark has performed well, the writer suggests general manager Steve Staios may give Ersson only one more start before making a roster change.
