On Thursday night, the Senators will pay tribute to the goaltender who backstopped their 2006-07 run to the Stanley Cup Final.

The Ottawa Senators will pay tribute to former goaltender Ray Emery on Thursday night during the club's home opener at Canadian Tire Centre. Emery's family has been invited to ring the ceremonial bell prior to the game against the Philadelphia Flyers, honoring the netminder 20 years after he backstopped Ottawa's 2006-07 run to the Stanley Cup Final.
Emery spent six seasons with Ottawa and later won a Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2013 before tragically passing away in 2018 at age 35. His parents and brothers now reside in the Ottawa area and will attend the ceremony.
