Munetaka Murakami’s two-run homer in the fourth inning set the Chicago White Sox up to claim a Game 1 win, and the Japanese star had a relatable response to his heroics.
Chicago White Sox first baseman Munetaka Murakami admitted feeling "something a little bit dirty" after hitting a critical two-run home run in Game 1 of the ALDS. The blast in the fourth inning helped propel the White Sox to a 3-0 victory over the Cleveland Guardians.
Speaking through his interpreter during the post-game press conference, Murakami gave the candid response when asked what he felt as he yelled toward the dugout. The win gives Chicago a 1-0 series lead in only their second ALDS appearance since 2008.
