Alejandro Garnacho Chelsea return addressed amid Aston Villa doubts

Alejandro Garnacho faces uncertainty over his future after playing only 31 Premier League minutes during his season-long loan at Aston Villa from Chelsea. The 22-year-old winger has made just three substitute appearances under manager Unai Emery and remained an unused substitute in Villa's Champions League victory against Club Brugge. His limited involvement has raised doubts regarding whether Villa will activate their option to purchase him permanently for roughly £43 million.

Amid speculation that his loan could end early in January, former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink stated that Garnacho would struggle to reintegrate at Stamford Bridge under manager Xabi Alonso. Hasselbaink argued that Chelsea's tactical system does not utilize traditional wingers, which would make finding a place in Alonso's squad difficult if the Argentine returns.
