The Liverpool man had a tough time on loan with Aston Villa but can recover his form in Spain

Former Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton has backed Harvey Elliott's decision to join Valencia on loan, stating the move to Spain will suit the Liverpool player's technical style. Elliott struggled for game time during a previous loan spell at Villa, making only nine appearances under manager Unai Emery to prevent an obligation-to-buy clause from activating.
Hutton compared the situation to his own career, recalling how a 2013 loan spell with Mallorca helped restore his confidence during a difficult period under Paul Lambert. He believes playing regularly in Spain will help Elliott regain form and open up new opportunities.
