Aston Villa and Sunderland target heading towards January exit

Athletico Paranaense striker Kevin Viveros is increasingly expected to secure a permanent transfer in January following stalled contract renewal talks. Both Aston Villa and Sunderland have reportedly sought information on the forward, who recently made his senior international debut for Colombia against Mexico. Athletico president Mario Celso Petraglia halted previously agreed contract terms, paving the way for a potential winter departure.

Viveros has signed with agency CAA Stellar Sports and representative Marco Vanzini ahead of the transfer window. The Brazilian club anticipates receiving offers exceeding €20m (£17.4m) for the striker, who is also attracting interest from teams in Saudi Arabia and Russia.
